How many of you have seen people making animated GIFs for their TpT store's personal quote box? It's found on your store's homepage and is the best area for FREE advertising I have found. About a year ago I noticed tutorials on how to create an animated GIF for my quote box. It basically flipped through photos I had created displaying my product covers. It was cool. It served its purpose, but I really felt like it could be so much more.
How do people really get to know you and your store? I thought it was through social media, so I have invested countless hours digging into creating, using, and networking through every social media known to me at this time. It's fun but can be very time consuming and exhausting. This summer my goal was to first gain some perspective by reflecting upon my last year as a TpT seller and teacherpreneur. I came to the conclusion, with the help of the new dashboard created by #teacherspayteachers, that most of my sales come straight from the TpT site.
Well...with this known, I decided to dig deep into my store and make it the best darn store I can! The first thing I want people to know when they land on my page is WHO I AM and WHAT I DO. This is why I decided to custom design my new quote box using a truly animated GIF, not just a series of pictures popping up of my products. I want people to know that I am a reading specialist with 26 years experience and that my products have been used and been proven to be successful. I believe I can do this better by recreating and using the quote box space right on my store's homepage!
